Hello, my name is Drina.

Welcome to our little bag of baguettes. Six years ago, our family decided we were going to take a year long sabbatical. Three years ago, we decided to do it in Paris. It began as an opportunity for my husband, Houman, to learn a new area of medicine. It quickly turned into an opportunity for all of us to learn a new language, experience a new culture, and take a year to live differently. 

This blog is a place for us to write our stories, create an album of our memories and hopefully encourage us to reflect on our experiences along the way. It is also a way for our family and friends to to share in our  adventures. Welcome!
